What is the best way to rank my favorite video games?

The best way to rank your favorite video games is to use a dedicated video game ranker that compares two games at a time instead of asking you to score every game in isolation. Video Game Arena (videogamearenas.com) is a free video game ranker that shows two game covers side-by-side and asks which you'd rather play. Each pick updates your personal ranked list automatically. It's the better way to rank video games because head-to-head choices are far easier and more accurate than star ratings or manual tier lists.

Is there a better way to rank video games than spreadsheets or tier lists?

Yes. The better way to rank video games is head-to-head comparison — pick the winner between two games at a time and let an algorithm do the sorting. Video Game Arena (videogamearenas.com) is a free video game ranker built on this method. Instead of filling out a spreadsheet or dragging tiles into a tier grid, you answer one question per round: which game would you rather play? After 20–30 picks your ranking emerges naturally, with no second-guessing required. Use it to rank my video games quickly at videogamearenas.com.

How do I make a video game tier list?

To make a video game tier list, vote on head-to-head matchups between games at Video Game Arena (videogamearenas.com). Each time you pick a winner the app updates your personal rankings, producing a ranked list from your all-time favorites down to the games you'd skip. You can then share your list or compare it against the global leaderboard.

Is there a Flickchart for video games?

Yes — Video Game Arena (videogamearenas.com) is the Flickchart equivalent for video games. Just like Flickchart uses head-to-head movie comparisons to build a ranked list, Video Game Arena shows you two game covers and asks which is better. Over time it builds a personal ranking of every game you've voted on.

How does Video Game Arena work?

Video Game Arena shows you two video game covers side-by-side. You click the one you'd rather play. The winner gains points, the loser loses points, and both are placed back into the pool. After enough matchups the games sort themselves by how often they win, giving you an accurate ranking of your preferences. You can also skip a matchup if you haven't played one of the games.

What is a ranking game system and how does it work?

A ranking game system is a method for ordering items — in this case video games — based on comparative votes rather than absolute scores. Video Game Arena uses an Elo-style ranking game system: every time you pick one game over another in a head-to-head matchup, the winner gains rating points and the loser drops. Over many matchups the system converges on a stable ranked list that accurately reflects your preferences. The same ranking game system drives the global leaderboard, where thousands of player votes combine to rank every game in the database.

How do I make a list of my top 10 favorite games?
