Building a traditional tier list with hundreds of games is overwhelming. When two specific games appear side by side, your gut knows instantly which one meant more to you. Head-to-head voting helps forgotten favourites resurface — it is not just about ranking games, but remembering them.

Every battle shows you two games. Pick the one you prefer, and over hundreds of matchups the system builds a precise, personal ranking of every game you've played. It is the same principle as tournament brackets, but automated and endless.

The Game Database

Video Game Arena features over 1,300 games spanning Steam titles, beloved indie games, classic retro games, and franchise staples going back decades. The database grows weekly as new titles are added. Cover art is sourced from Steam's CDN where available, with fallbacks to TheGamesDB for non-Steam titles.

Who's Behind It

Video Game Arena is an independent project — not backed by a publisher, not affiliated with any game developer, and completely free. Revenue comes from Google AdSense ads and an affiliate partnership with Humble Bundle to keep the servers running.

Rankings are never for sale. No game pays to appear higher in the leaderboard, and no affiliate partnership influences which matchups are served. The results are 100% community-generated.
